Organise Android app closed testing with peer feedback.

Launch Circle helps Android developers organise voluntary app testing and collect useful feedback for Google Play closed testing. Coordinate with other developers, try the workflows they ask you to test, and report honest findings for their review.

Independent app: Launch Circle is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google or Google Play. It does not guarantee tester participation, a fixed number of qualified testers, or production approval.
How Launch Circle works

Coordinate the work; complete your own Play testing steps.

Launch Circle provides a place to organise voluntary peer testing. Each developer remains responsible for setting up their own Play Console test and confirming what testers actually did.

01 · Add your app

Describe a real test task

Register an app with its store or test link, app name, and clear steps. The Play listing says an ordinary account can register one app and does not need to type a Developer Account ID.

02 · Configure access

Set up your closed test

Configure test access in your own Play Console using the Google Group shown in Launch Circle. Group membership by itself does not add anyone to your Play test.

03 · Test peers' apps

Join the relevant Play test

Open Tests, join the relevant Google Group and Google Play test when required, install the app with the same Google account, and try the requested workflow.

04 · Share feedback

Report what happened

Submit actual results, problems, and suggestions. Developers can review feedback for their own app in My Launch; no one should claim a test they did not perform.

Google Play requirement

What “12 testers for 14 days” means.

Google Play says personal developer accounts created after 13 November 2023 must run a closed test with at least 12 testers opted in continuously for at least 14 days before applying for production access. The testers must remain opted in for the preceding 14 days when the developer applies.

This rule applies to those eligible personal accounts. It is a Google Play production-access requirement, not a promise by Launch Circle that a developer's group will reach 12 testers or that an app will be approved. Google also evaluates the app, testing and production readiness.

Group capacity is different from the Play requirement. The current Play listing says each Launch Circle App Group has up to 15 developer slots. A group that is still forming does not mean an app already has 12 testers. Joining a group does not automatically enroll a developer's app in another person's Play test or install that app.

Read the official Google Play testing requirements and check your own Play Console for the requirements that apply to your account and app.

Common questions

Before you join a testing group

Does Launch Circle guarantee 12 testers?

No. Group capacity is up to 15 developer slots, but participation and occupancy can vary. A forming group is not evidence that 12 people have opted in to your Play test.

Does joining a group complete my closed test?

No. You still need to configure access in Play Console, join the correct Google Group and Play test, install and use the app, and keep your own testing records accurate.

Will Launch Circle guarantee production access?

No. Google Play decides eligibility and approval through its own policies and review process. Launch Circle is an independent coordination tool.

Is Launch Circle a Google product?

No. Launch Circle is published by Technologies RegEvidence Inc. and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google or Google Play.
