Canada Direct Hire document checklist: organize by dependency

The useful checklist is not simply “do I have a passport and contract?” It also needs to account for work authorization, contract verification, employer evidence, MWO jurisdiction, occupation-specific evidence and later clearance-dependent items.

Quick route

1 · Confirm routeDirect Hire · Professional/Skilled · Canada jobsite.
2 · Check readinessApply central DMW and the supported MWO branch.
3 · Fix gaps firstResolve MISSING and REVIEW items before submission.

Core Phase 1 categories

The checker covers passport, Canadian work authorization evidence, signed employment contract, MWO verification/authentication, employer supporting documents, LMIA or applicable alternative/exemption evidence, qualifications, endorsement and other Canada-specific requirements.

Vancouver-specific branch

When the jobsite maps to MWO Vancouver, the checker adds the office-specific Direct Hire conditions supported by current Vancouver guidance.

Later Phase 2 categories

After Direct Hire Clearance, the rule pack checks applicable PEOS, PDOS, medical, insurance and final compliance declarations. Applicability can vary, so uncertain items remain REVIEW.

Scope boundary. This is a pre-submission readiness tool, not DMW/MWO approval, legal advice, Direct Hire Clearance, or OEC issuance. When current official sources conflict or do not verify a requirement, the checker returns REVIEW rather than guessing.
